Online learning provides an engaging and effective means of achieving mastery of course content and earning credits toward graduation. It also builds computer technology skills and enhances higher order thinking skills which are critical for success in today's digital age. Online learning requires the ability to work independently and the discipline to stay on track. While online learning lets students set their own schedule, students must progress at a pace that enables them to meet assignment and test deadlines and complete coursework within the semester; therefore, online learning is not for everyone

Catoosa Online Academy - COA

The Catoosa Online Academy provides online learning opportunities for CCPS students in grades 6-12. The secondary COA curriculum is delivered through an online learning platform, and teachers are available to support students during the school day. COA students remain enrolled in their home schools and may participate in extracurricular activities.

What's Happening

It's time to head back to the classroom for the 2026-2027 school year, and we are looking forward to meeting our new students and catching up with our returning students! 
COA is an extension of CCPS' middle and high schools and serves students who need online learning for part or all of their school day. For students who would like to take classes through COA, your base school's counseling department will assist you in the application process.

COA is honored to be housed in the Catoosa County College and Career Academy and to serve the families of Catoosa County Public Schools.
